In order to improve their faith journey, there are a number of biblical priorities for busy Christians. Christians today need to get their priorities right.
There are some things that are not supposed to be pursued by Christians but are being pursued, unfortunately.
Because of the decadence of the world today, a Christian’s priority should be different from what every normal person would prioritize.
A Christian is a spiritual being, hence he or she cannot prioritize things born of carnality.
In the book of Romans 12:2, the bible says “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
In that passage, the main message that is being passed is that we are supposed to shine our light and illuminate this dark world rather than partake in their celebration of darkness.
This article will be providing you with 7 Biblical Priorities For Busy Christians.
This is a very important thing that every Christian should follow with all diligence. With every step taken and every move made, the most important thing that should be followed by Christians is Holiness.
We are supposed to go before him every day in holiness. In the book of Luke 1:75, the bible urges us to live and worship God “in holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life”.
All that we need is the total commitment to the service of God and this can only be done when we pursue utmost holiness. God cannot behold filthiness and it is only when we are holy that we can have access to him.
In the book, Leviticus 20:7 the bible says “Sanctify yourselves, therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God”.
Also, in the 26th verse of the same chapter “And ye shall ben holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine”.
Daily communion with Christ:
As Christians, we ought to let our whole lives be full of an expression of his grace. To achieve this, it is important that we know the value of daily fellowship with the father.
We have to learn to constantly grow in him. Through constant growth, it is believed that we as Christians will begin to experience and carry out the true will of God in our lives.
In the book, 2 Corinthians 13:14 the bible says “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the communion of the Holy Ghost be with you all. Amen”.
In that passage, the recognition of the importance attached to communing with the father is put to focus.
Communion simply put is a close relationship with someone or something so as Christians, it is very important to realize that in the Christian race, one of the prerequisites is the maintenance of a very close/personal relationship with the father.
In a nutshell, every Christian that has heaven at the back of his mind must realize that he or she is required to build an extremely close relationship with the father and this can only be done through daily communion with God.
This is also an important thing that in fact. every Christian should prioritize. The function of soul winning is a divine commission by our Lord Jesus Christ and should be strictly adhered to by believers across the world.
In the book of Mark 16:15, the bible says “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”. That was a divine command by our Lord Jesus to go into the world and win souls.
The truth is that as Christians, we are not saved so we can enjoy the benefits in Christ alone, we are also called to serve as shepherds to the lost sheep. We need to let those who are lost know that there is a way out for them.
Thousands of persons are out there who need help. As a Christian. this should be a priority to you, tell them about the abundant grace and love that you are getting from our Lord Jesus Christ.
When this is done and a soul is won, the angels in heavens will be joyful and Our Lord Jesus will be happy with you. As a Christian, you should not be at rest of unbelievers are still around you.
Keep preaching, keep evangelizing, and keep asking God for the grace to continue strong in the faith.
Growth in the knowledge of his word:
One of the most necessary weapons needed in spiritual warfare is the word. The simple truth about this point is that growth in the word comes mainly from the adept study of the word.
Once you begin to study His word fervently, you will realize that you will also begin to grow in the lord and the deep secrets in the Bible will be revealed to you by the Holy Spirit.
Now, the prominence that is attached to this is that it is only when there is a good amount of God’s word and also a high level of belief in it, the Holy Spirit will be comfortable staying with you and there will be a good level of communication between you, the Christian and Him.
The more you grow in knowing God’s word, the more he gives you more insights.
In the book of 2Timothy 15 is a popular verse, there, the bible says “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
It is only when you study and grow in His word that you can be approved.
Approved as to what? Approved as the Son of God. Another reason for making God’s word a priority is that in the book of Matthew 24:35 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
This, of course. is the focal point for every Christian. The whole struggle in the Christian race is all about making heaven. Heaven us the final destination for every faithful Christian and the sooner they start realizing that the better.
Many Christians in the world today do not take heaven as something important. Pastors and preachers no longer preach about it. They prefer to talk about carnal things.
Once someone does not take the Christian race, that Christian is likely to miss the point and eventually miss out in heaven.
A Christian is supposed to know that heaven is key hence he or she should place it as a priority.
In the book of Matthew 25, the kingdom of God was likened to ten virgins, five were wise (Took heaven as their priority), others were foolish (Did not prioritize heaven) at the end of the day, those who did not make heaven their priority ended up blaming themselves and regretting their actions.
So, are you a Christian out there, and you do no take heaven seriously? Listen, heaven is real and as a Christian, it will be a colossal error not to put heaven as your priority.

The Holy Spirit:
Possessing the Holy Spirit and him possessing you should be part of the priorities that a Christian should always have. Having him is very important to us not only because he performs the role of interpreting the word and giving insights but also because he is a comforter.
In the book of John 15:26, the Bible says “But when the COMFORTER has come, whom I will send unto you from the father, even the spirit of truth, which proceeded from the father, he shall testify me.”
Also in the book of John 14:26, the bible says “But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
Peace with all men:
This also should be a key priority in the life of a Christian. It goes along with holiness but of course, they are two different things entirely. When you are peaceful with all men, your rapport with all men is good.
Now, being peaceful does not mean that a Christian should be dull if you see things going in the wrong direction or you see somebody doing something to you and that thing is not in the Bible, do well to intimate the Holy Spirit for guidance and wait for his response. He will guide you. But do not keep quiet.
In the book of Hebrews 12:14, the bible says “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord”. It is very important to recognize the importance of peace with all men.
