Greetings! I’m Pastor David Small, the visionary behind The Pray Warrior.
My ministry journey began in 1986 when I answered the call to ministry shortly after receiving Jesus as my personal Savior. Since then, I’ve dedicated my life to serving the Lord and spreading His word.
My formal education in ministry took place at The Salvation Army Training College in Kingston, Jamaica. There, I received my ordination, which marked the official start of my mission to serve the Lord and His people.
In the past three decades, I’ve had the privilege of ministering in different countries. I’ve also had the privilege of planting and pastoring several churches while serving with the Salvation Army.
In 1993 I founded and pastored Maranatha Christian Fellowship in Barbados, a significant chapter in my ministry. During this time, I organized and spoke at evangelical conferences across the Caribbean, Canada, and the United States of America.
These gatherings weren’t just about sharing the gospel but also about equipping others for their own spiritual journeys. I provided invaluable marriage and family counseling, recognizing that faith extends into every aspect of our lives.
As the years unfolded, my ministry extended beyond borders. In 2001, I took the leap to establish David Small Ministries International, headquartered in Bridgetown, Barbados.
This world-reaching ministry has witnessed the Holy Spirit work mightily through me as I’ve ministered in the British Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Canada, Anguilla, and the United States of America.
It’s been a journey of spreading the message of hope and faith, reaching the unsaved, and nurturing the unchurched.
In addition to my ordination, I hold a license and credentials with the World Ministry Fellowship and International Network of Affiliate Ministries (INAM) in the USA. My love for God extends beyond preaching the gospel of Christ; I’m deeply passionate about prayer.
I have seen how prayer brings people to God in difficult seasons, and that experience inspired The Pray Warrior.
