Quiet the thoughts that would cause my body to be present while my mind is somewhere else. I don’t want to worship from routine. Give me fresh expectation.
When I sing, let the words come from my heart. When I pray, make me sincere. When your Word is preached, give me ears to hear what you are saying to me.
Deliver me from listening only for what applies to somebody else. Correct me where I need correction. Encourage me where I have become discouraged.
Convict me where I have compromised. Strengthen me where I have become weak. Bless every pastor, preacher, worship leader, musician, teacher, usher and volunteer.
Let churches become places where burdens are surrendered, wounded hearts find hope, sinners encounter grace, believers mature, and Jesus Christ is exalted.
Lord, I don’t want merely to attend worship. I want to encounter you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Father,
Thank you for every truth, correction, encouragement, and reminder you have given me today. Now help me do something with what I have received.
Don’t allow Your Word to become another sermon I enjoyed but never practiced. If you challenged me to forgive, help me forgive.
If you exposed an attitude, help me change it. If you reminded me of someone needing encouragement, help me reach out. If you gave me an idea, help me steward it.
If you convicted me concerning something I need to stop, give me courage to obey.Father, protect the seed of your Word from being stolen by distraction.
When I leave the atmosphere of worship and return to ordinary responsibilities, let truth remain alive within me.Show me one practical way to live differently because of what I heard today.
Let my family experience the fruit of my worship. Let my conversations become kinder, my decisions wiser, my attitude healthier, and my service more genuine.

Faithful Father,
