It’s God’s desire for us to enjoy good health especially, physically and emotionally.

Perhaps, you have suffered too many hurts or your body has been afflicted with one ailment or the other, the good news however is that our God is more than able to heal you both physically and emotionally.

What you’re basically required to do is, pray the right prayers for healing. Healing prayers simply bring your body into a realm where the power of God can flow into the affliction.

1. Prayer for Emotional Healing and Well-Being.

3 John 1:2:…I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

Dear Heavenly Father, many things are pressing in on me at this time, the stress has become unbearable.

I’ve realized that the real source of my problem is the emotional pain that I’m struggling with.

Dear Lord, I ask that You renew a right spirit within me and give me victory over this battle for my emotional well-being. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

2. Prayer for Emotional Peace of Mind.

Isaiah 26:3: The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace Because he trusts in You.

Dear Jesus, thank You because You are the giver of peace. My heart is troubled and is in need of Your peace right now.

Lord, I come boldly before You, so I’m here trying to be as honest as I can be since You already know my heart.

My heart is full of grief and I can’t seem to find peace of mind, maybe because the hurt that was inflicted on me was severe.

I can’t seem to move on from this state but even in this state of emotional unrest, I remain confident of one fact. And that is, the fact that Your steadfast love does not cease.

Therefore, I ask that Your peace dominate my heart. Lord, guard my heart, heal me emotionally and keep my mind fixed on You until this emotional turmoil passes. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

3. Prayer of Healing for Chronic or Severe Pain.

Psalm 41:3 The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness, you restore him to full health.

Dear Jesus, I seek Your intervention earnestly over the pain I’ve been grappling with within my body. Please heal me and set me free from this prison of pain and suffering.

This tyrant chronic pain has stolen any semblance of normalcy in my life. Please deliver me from this unpleasant situation. Thank You, Lord, as I wait patiently for the answer to this prayer. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

Dear Precious Jesus, thank you for loving me and for caring even about my thoughts. My recent exposure to a mean-spirited individual has affected my mind and emotion negatively.

1 Peter 5:10: And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast.

Gracious God, You remain the God of all impossibilities, You can deliver and make whole. Please lead me out of the prison of disability, restore me to full mobility.

In my weakness, fear has surrounded me, but I look to You Jesus, the miracle-working God who is ever merciful. In spite of the fear in my heart, my faith in You has no borders.

Therefore, I believe that You can grant me deliverance from this deadly illness, and bless me with the fullness of health. Do this Lord, only to the glory of Your name. Amen.

8. Prayer for Emotional Healing and a Forgiving Heart.

Psalm 103:3: Who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases.

Dear Lord, thank You for always being merciful and ever forgiving. Thank You because You don’t punish me as I deserve, I am indeed grateful for Your constant forgiveness of my sins and shortcomings.

I want to forgive those who have hurt me as You have always forgiven me, but my wounded heart has been unable to let go of unforgiveness toward those who hurt me.

Lord, I know that unforgiveness is un-Christlike and it hinders my relationship with You. Dear Father, I don’t want anything to do with unforgiveness, please flush it out of my life.

I ask that You flood my heart with the spirit of forgiveness and the grace to let go completely. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

Romans 8:11: And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

Heavenly Father, I thank You because You’re the only one who can kill or make alive. You heal the sick and raise the dead. Lord, I trust in Your ability to heal and restore my failing health.

I ask that You use that same power that raised Jesus from the dead to revive and restore my mortal body back to life. By faith, I declare that I will live and not die; Christ’s healing virtue is flowing into every part of my body to bring healing now. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

10. Prayer for the Healing of Emotional Distress and the Restoration of Sleep.

Romans 16:20: The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus is with you.

Precious and Loving God, You are my shadow of rest in this dry and thirsty land. My emotion is very distressed, even sleep has been far from me.

This is such a trying time for me, I can’t control the tears that constantly soak my pillow. Dear Lord, I need healing from the hurt that I’ve suffered, I also need my sleep to be restored.

You are my refuge from every storm and I ask that You grant peace to the storm and distress in my heart. Your Word also tells me in Psalm 127:2 that You grant sleep to those You love; give me sweet sleep daily. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

11. Prayer for Physical Strength.

Isaiah 40:29: He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.

Dear Mighty God, You are my salvation; I will trust You and not be afraid because You are my Lord, my strength, and my song; You have also become my salvation.

I am physically weak and in dire need of Your touch to restore strength and vigor to my body. Let the raging wave of infirmity pass over me, let Your mercy qualify me to enjoy sound health daily. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

12. Prayer of Healing from Drug Addiction.

Isaiah 38:16: Lord, by such things people live; and my spirit finds life in them too. You restored me to health and let me live.

Heavenly Father, I present my body to You as a living sacrifice. Dear Lord, I renounce every drug addiction and misuse of my body. I renounce every drug abuse, binging,  and every form of sin through my body and against my body by the blood of Jesus Christ.

By faith, I cancel every claim I’ve given the devil over my life. I cancel the access or dominion my actions have given the devil over my body by the blood of Jesus Christ.

I rededicate my body as the temple of the Holy Spirit and a vessel unto honor. And I consecrate all the faculties of my body to Jesus and bring my body under the rule and dominion of the Holy Spirit. By faith, I declare that I’m free and whole. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

John 16:22: So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

Heavenly Father, Your Word tells me to be patient in affliction and faithful in prayer. This is the reason, I have come before You, pouring out my heart to You in prayer.

Let Your stream of healing and strength flood my mind, my body, and my soul. Touch my inner being and all the unresolved emotional pain, unforgiveness, and resentment in my heart.
