The labor and delivery process is the climax stage of pregnancy. Sometimes the happenings surrounding the labor and delivery process are unpredictable. There are times when mothers lose their lives or lose their babies.
Other times, both lives are lost, all of which are very unplanned or sometimes the least expected. So, we want to take some time, to say a word of prayer for every woman in labor.
Here are fifteen prayer for Labor and delivery.

Prayer for all Women Expecting Delivery of their Children.
And none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span. -Exodus 23:26
Father, I lift prayers today for every woman that is near her due date. I pray dear God, that you will keep them sound and safe.
I ask o God, that during this stage, should any fall sick, let your healing power be made manifest to them in the name of the Lord Jesus.
I pray to God, that there will not be any delay and over-stretching of the due date. I pray that none will miscarry. May they deliver safe and sound, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Medical Staff in charge of the Labor and Delivery process.
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people
for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. -1 Timothy 2:2
Heavenly Father, I thank you for how far you have brought every pregnant woman. Thank you, God, that they have made it to the Labor and delivery phase.
Lord, I pray to commit every medical practitioner that will handle this stage of pregnancy into your hands. I pray for your guidance, your leadership, and wisdom to be made manifest through them.
Father, your word asks that we pray for those in authority, and since they are going to be in authority over this stage, Lord, grant them all the peace and sound mind they need, so that they will be able to do exactly what is expected of them in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Prayer for the Financial needs of Women in Labor to be Met.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:19
Father Lord, I pray for all women going into Labor. Some may be going as single mothers and may not be able to pay completely for all financial requirements.
Even those who are going with their husbands may have their own difficulty, but I pray Lord, that you will supply all their financial needs. From the purchase of baby items to the payment of hospital bills, may they be fully covered in the name of Jesus?
May none have any lack or need in the mighty name of Jesus. Just as your word says, let all their needs be supplied according to the riches of your glory. I ask Lord, that you lift the burden of the financial stress off them, in the name of the Lord Jesus, Amen.

Prayer for Safe Delivery of Babies.
Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son. -Isaiah 66:7
Father, I pray for the safe delivery of all babies. I thank you first, that as Isaiah 66:7 says, you have already gone before them, and it is done.
I pray and come against any bad news such as a loss of a baby. I pray that every child will be delivered safely in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray against any sickness and any death of a baby in the name of Jesus.
I come against any demonic manipulation in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I ask that every child be marked with the blood of Jesus. May they live to fulfill their purpose in Jesus’ name.
I know you have gone before them dear God and made the path straight for safe deliveries in the name of Jesus, Amen.

For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” -Romans 10:13
Lord, I pray for all women going into labor, I pray God, that you will keep them safe. May none lose their lives in this process. Let your angels keep charge over them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Father, give them the strength they need to deliver safely, that women themselves and their babies will come out of this process safely in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Remember your word o Lord, that those who call on your name will be saved, so we are calling on your name today for the safety of all women in labor, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. -Romans 8:37
Lord Jesus, I pray against any delivery complications. I pray for the smooth delivery of every baby in the name of Jesus.
I pray against any loss of blood during and after labor and delivery in the name of the Lord Jesus. It is written in your word, that we are more than conquerors, so I declare, that all women in labor are more than conquerors and will come out of labor victorious over any complication in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Grace to Deliver like the Hebrew Women.
The midwives answered Pharaoh, “Hebrew women are not like Egyptian women; they are vigorous and give birth before the midwives arrive.” -Exodus 1:19
I pray dear God, for all women on the verge of delivery, I ask Father, for grace to deliver like the Hebrew women.
Scripture makes us understand, that they were strong during their delivery process and needed only little assistance. So, I pray, that every woman in delivery will walk in the grace of the Hebrew women.
May they be strong even after their delivery, in the name of Jesus. May they not be weak and tired, but may they be able to sit up and hold their babies in Jesus’ name, Amen.

I lift every woman in the labor and delivery phase into your hand o God, I pray against any medical complications in whichever form.

Father, I pray for the perfect timing for the delivery of every child. I pray, that there would not be any health issues with babies because of delays and prolonged dilations.
May they not be a minute late or a minute early, let them be perfect on your timing in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ because once they are in your timing, they are safe. Thank you, God, for answered prayers in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord Jesus, I ask today for good health for women in labor. May their health not fail them o God. Bless them with the means to eat healthy to be able to carry and support their babies with the necessary nutrients that they need.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. -Isaiah 41:10
Lord, I pray for strength for every woman who is in labor. Father, I ask for spiritual and physical strength.
They might have been worn out by the pregnancy and may have little strength. Lord, whichever way they may appear, let your strength be their portion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I declare that they are strong in the name of the Lord Jesus, that every weakness in them is disappearing and your strength is being made their portion in the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. -Isaiah 43:2
Father, I commit all women who may undergo any caesarean section into your gentle hands. Let your shield be over and around them.
Remove fear from their hearts O dear Lord. I pray that the surgery will be smooth and successful. Let your spirit take control and lead the doctors and nurses through the process in the name of the Lord Jesus.
May both mother and baby be safe through it all. I pray that your word in Isaiah 43:2 will be a gentle reminder to them, that they are not alone, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for Women in Labor to be Surrounded by Love and Support.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. -1 Corinthians 13:8
Father, I pray for every single woman going through the labor and delivery phase that you will surround them with all the love and support they need.
I pray O God, that for those who have been through this journey alone, be their strength when they need it the most in the name of the Lord Jesus. May they feel your love in an overwhelming way. May they know that you have always been with them through this journey in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. –1 Peter 3:12
Heavenly Father, every woman who is in Labor is lifted into your gentle hands once again. Lord, this is a special prayer for your protection over their lives.
Let your eyes continually be fixed on them and their little babies. Keep watch over them and protect them from any kind of harm or danger.
May they feel secure knowing that your gaze is always fixed on them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Lord, I ask for accessibility to good medical equipment that will be needed through the process of delivery.
I pray o dear God, that there will not be any hold-up in the process because of medical equipment. I ask Lord, for access to well-equipped hospitals in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
You have said in your word, that we will not lack any good thing and I believe that this is also part of the good things we will not lack. So, Father, show yourself strong in the area of equipment availability too, in the name of Jesus. Thank you very much, God, for answered prayers, In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Conclusion
God cares about every tiny detail concerning our life, even with the process of Labor and delivery. During this process, God is bringing into the world, His seeds to manifest His glory.
He will be very much interested in the whole delivery process, and it is only wise that we involve him in this process. Remember, the bible tells us, that God is able to cause everything to work out for our good.
So even as we pray, whatever the enemy has seen as a loose strand and is ready to use against women in labor, He God sees and is able to turn it around for their good. Let this be your assurance and hope: The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous. – Proverbs 15:29.
