God is the Father of us all, irrespective of creed and religion. But like in every big family, you have obedient and disobedient children. Being disobedient does not negate the fact that they are God’s children.

The truth is our disobedience and rebellion have made it difficult to relate cordially with our Heavenly Father.

God’s will is His plans and purpose for every one of us, and it’s not hidden most times. God reveals His will for us through the scriptures, and it will take a diligent personal search to be acquainted with it.

Another great way to discover God’s will in any matter is through fervent prayers. That’s why I have provided prayers for God’s will for you in this article.

Matthew 6:10 – Your kingdom come, will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. (NIV)

Dear Lord God, you laid out the earth’s foundation and stretched out the Heaven like a canopy. May your will be established in all the nations of the world, and may all people praise you.

Father, I pray that all the inhabitants of the earth come to the saving knowledge of your dear Son Jesus according to your will. Establish your kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven.

Psalms 40:8 – I desire to do your will, my God; your. (NIV)

Heavenly Father, I pray you to accomplish your will in all aspects of my life in all things and at all times.

Hence, I surrender to your will because you can’t fail. You know the end from the beginning, and you can bring all your plans to pass.

Holy Spirit Divine, you who knows the mind of God, I pray that you lead me into His will for my life. Your will for my life is loftier than whatever else I could plan for myself. Therefore, I pray for the wisdom to know your will for my life.

Living God, I pray that you lead me in choosing a spouse. I want to get married according to your will and not by instinct.

Holy Spirit, I pray for your guidance and promptings as I pray in anticipation of being led to the right person. May you order my footsteps as you did for Eleazar of Damascus concerning Isaac’s wife, Rebecca.

Hence, I request that you make your strength available to me through the Holy Spirit so that doing your will comes to me naturally.

The Bible says that Abraham reckoned that if in obedience to your word he kills Isaac the Son of promise, you can bring him back from the grave. Likewise, I desire to have such trust and confidence in you.

Father in Heaven, I pray for the grace to trust your will for my life, knowing that your thought for me is that of good and not evil. May I never doubt your love and care for me.

You are trustworthy, faithful, and can do all things, even the things that are impossible, with men. Lord, you have never failed anyone who puts their trust in you nor allows them to suffer shame.

You have not changed and can never change. Therefore, I pray you to show yourself mighty on my behalf because I trust you.

Gracious God, thank you for you have destined us to conform to the image of your dear Son through faith. Your grace has appeared to us according to your will, making us deny sin and ungodliness by reason of the gospel of Christ.

It is your will that all people be saved by faith in the redemptive work of your Son on the cross of Calvary. It’s also your will that sin will not have dominion over us that believe.

Hence, I pray that the Holy Spirit will guide my heart to understand all of God for me, especially as revealed in the scriptures.
