Apart from taking care of the physical needs of our parents, God has placed us in their lives to also cater to their spiritual needs, most especially interceding for them.
One of the best prayers you can pray for your parent is for long life. Virtually everyone wants to live a long, healthy, and prosperous life. That’s why I feel that the best gift we can give our parents is to pray for them to live long.
Hence, I have created prayers for my parents’ long life below. God, the author, and finisher of our faith has promised to satisfy us with long life. And He will fulfill the number of days of your parents as you intercede for them.

I know that nothing happens without your approval, so I believe whatever ordeal you permit is to bring glory to your name.

Omnipotent God, my parents have been together for so long, but situations and challenges are tearing them apart right now.
Please rekindle their dying love and help them seek out their differences. Please help them to put their pride aside and seek reconciliation.
Lord, remind them of the good and loving times they have spent together and show them a way to forgive and love each other once more.
Most importantly, may they overcome their challenges and enjoy a long-lasting union in good health.

Our Father in Heaven, your word promises us protection. I ask for your protection in my parents’ life today and every other day.
Your word says that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and we shall condemn every tongue that rises against us. Therefore, I declare divine protection over my parents. No evil shall befall them, and no plague shall come near dwelling.
When the enemies come in one way, they will flee in seven ways. My parents will only see the reward of the wicked; they will not experience any harm.
