Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV) – Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Faithful God, thank you for bringing me, my family, and my loved ones to a new month. Thank you also for nature’s unique sounds, from the beautiful weather to the trees and birds singing melodies.

You are an excellent God, full of grace and compassion. I am grateful that you have kept my family and friends to enjoy your blessings with gratitude.

As we begin today and each day of this month with you, may we experience victory in every area of our lives.

 Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) – Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

 Glorious God, I give you my all this day. Please remove my weariness so I may be motivated in my work. Help me to discover new ways to show your love to all I meet.

Lord, help me to keep my mind focused on everything I need to achieve and give me the wisdom to carry out my duties. I depend on you and trust you’re with me this day.

Psalm 90:14  (NIV) – Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

Loving God, thank you for bringing me another bright and beautiful day. Forgive me of the wrongs of yesterday and help me walk more closely to you today.

I also pray that you renew me too with your strength and fill me with purpose. Lastly, please take my hand, dear Lord Jesus, and help me today because I can’t make it alone.

 Psalm 51:10 (NIV) – Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

 Gracious God, throughout this day, I request that you help me to live in a way that’s pleasing to you in everything I do – as I commute to work, spend time with family, and hang out with friends.

May my life serve as a living example of your grace, and may others see Christ in me. Also, may my words be seasoned with salt so I may minister grace to all who hear me.

 Dear Jesus, thank you for your steadfast love that’s new every morning and your faithfulness that reaches the skies.

This morning, I pray that your love will also increase in my heart as the sun rises. And as it shines upon all you have created; may it inspire hope in my heart and fill me with the courage to stay on the path of righteousness.

 Merciful God, I praise and glorify you for your loving-kindness and everlasting mercy, which is new every morning and remains sure throughout the day, upholding and strengthening me.

Lord, I ask that you forgive me and cleanse me of previous sins as the day is new. Please help me to walk spotless today, without blemish, and to overcome the temptations that will come my way.

Hebrews 10:23 (NIV) – Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

 Heavenly Father, your words admonish me to hold on to your hope. So, I ask that you clear my mind and fill it with positive expectations.

Ignite my spirit, Lord, and set my day on fire with the fulfillment of your unfailing promises. Let the ordinary in my life become extraordinary today.

Psalm 23:6 (NIV) – Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Mighty God, may nothing separate me from your love today. Please assist me in following the path you have set out for me today so that each step I take will lead me closer to you.

 Righteous God, thank you because your word brings life. Please turn your face toward me today and give me peace.

Dear Lord, I know I can face anything today with faith, hope, and confidence. And I can keep my head held high because you are my sustainer. Keep me throughout today and remain my anchor for life.

Prayer for Thursday, 15th December.

 Philippians 4:19 (NIV) – And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

 Lord Jesus, today I lay my burdens before you. Please help me because I desperately need your grace and strength.

When the tides of life besiege me, help me remember that you are always with me. And lastly, I ask that you give me the grace I need to scale through this day.

Prayer for Friday, 16th December.

 Proverbs 8:17 (NIV) – I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.

 Our Father in Heaven, I slept in peace and woke up safely because you are watching over me. You protected me all through the night, even till this morning.

Lord, I go into today with a heart full of thanksgiving. I love you, Father, for all that you have done for me, and I pray this love remains in my heart forever, daily growing in strength.

 James 1:17  (NIV) – Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

 Lord Jesus, I humbly ask for divine guidance today as I search for my daily bread. Let your mighty hand of protection overshadow me as I walk through today.

Thank you for bringing me to this stage of my life. Most of all, I appreciate how safe I am in your hand; that’s a shield for me.

 1 Corinthians 1:9  (NIV) – God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.

 All-knowing God, I’m grateful that you granted me a peaceful night’s rest and the blessing of a new day. Today is another beautiful day you have made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Dear Lord, I know how much you love me. Your word has opened my eyes to the depth of this love. And I pray that you assist me so I will never take it for granted.

 Psalm 16:8 (NIV) –  I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Marvelous God, as I head out today, please show yourself strong in my life. I am confident because you are all-powerful and capable of doing immeasurably more than all I can ask or imagine.

Today Lord, I pray that you guide me in everything I do today and in every step I take. Also, help me to surrender to your will at all times, even when the need to do mine is strong.

Lastly, I receive the grace to rely on you and not on myself in all my endeavors.

By your word, I come this morning, asking that you imbue me with the wisdom I need to get by today.

2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV) – God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline.

 Sovereign God, I come humbly before you this morning and ask that you give me the spirit of power, love, and self-discipline.

Please uphold me with your righteous hand to surmount every temptation that will come my way today.

By my strength, I can do nothing; that’s why I need the strength that only you give so that I will walk in ways honoring and pleasing to you.

 Psalm 19:1-2 (NIV) – The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Day after day, they pour forth speech; night after night, they display knowledge.

Glorious God, thank you because you have been gracious to me. As I go through today, I pray that you assist me in using the gifts you have blessed me with to contribute my quota in expanding your kingdom.

I receive the privilege to be used by you to be a blessing to others today. And most of all, I surrender to your will, which benefits me.

Joshua 24:15  (NIV) – But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve,

whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

Almighty God, thank you for my family. I entrust them all to your mighty hand. Please bless them and the works of their hands.

As they go out today, please protect them. At the end of the day, Loving God brings us all back home together.

Isaiah 26:3 (NIV) – You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in you.

Everlasting Father, in this world that is full of instant gratification, unholy ambitions, wild desires, and evil aspirations, I ask that you imbue me with the spirit of contentment today.

Even as I pray that you will make my life better, give me the ability to remain content at all times.

Most importantly, help me to remain grateful for the things I have. May I never fall into the temptation of coveting my neighbor’s property.

 Deuteronomy 28:13 (NIV) – The Lord will make you the head, not the tail.

If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

 Faithful God, thank you for the gift of a new day and this blessed morning. You promised in your word that when I am down, you will lift me.

Father, you also said you would make me the head, not the tail. This morning, I trust you because I know your word is truth and light and never fails. Make me the head indeed in all things.

Prayer for Monday, 27th December.

 James 4:7 (NIV) – Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

 Victorious God, I don’t want my sins to prevent me from reaching the goal you have set for me. So, I ask that you cleanse me from every impurity and help me to denounce the devil.

Also, fill me with your grace so I may resist the things diverting my attention from you. Lastly, I ask, dear Lord Jesus that you strengthen me to constantly resist the devil and put him to flight.

Prayer for Tuesday, 28th December.

 John 6:35 (NIV) – Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.

 Lord Jesus, sometimes my heart yearns for the things I don’t have instead of cherishing the blessings you have given. But today, I choose to turn over all my desires and rest in your love.

Abba Father, help me be contented with what you have given me. And lastly, assist me daily so I would constantly practice gratitude toward you.

Luke 1:78 (NIV) – because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven

Heavenly God, thank you for the incredible gift of life. I also appreciate you for the gift of salvation I have been granted through your son, Jesus.

Dear Lord, I ask that you help me always to remember this incredible privilege all day long. Also, may your love fill my heart and overflow with unspeakable joy so I can share it with many others.

 Ecclesiastes 11:6 (NIV) – Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let not your hands be idle,

for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.

 Excellent God, the tasks before me seem to loom so high and appear impossible, like a fence I cannot possibly scale. I am tired and weary, and my frailty as a human threatens to drag me to my knees.

But with you, Lord, I know I can do all things. By you, I can run through a troupe and leap over a wall. So, I rest in you, the author of all things, knowing that I am a conqueror.

Malachi 4:2 (NIV) – But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.

Faithful God, thank you for bringing me, my family, and my loved ones to the last day of this month and year. By your grace, we made it to the end of the month and year and were not consumed.

Thank you for strengthening us during the times we were weak and weary. For providing for us daily and surprising us when we had no hope of getting by. You also protected us and healed us when we were sick.

I’m also grateful for your love that kept us, revived, and renewed us. Above all, I appreciate you for your mighty hand that preserved us. As we enter the new year, may your presence not depart from us.
