Proverbs 17:17 (NIV) – A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Good friends are not only there for moments of joy and gladness.

They stand with you both in good and bad times; a friend always loves you. When your friends are hurting or in pain, you suffer along with them.

Whatever difficulty they may be going through, be it a troubled relationship, losing a loved one, or health challenges. You stand with them and see ways to help them through it.

1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) – Cast all your anxieties on him because he cares for you.

Compassionate God, great are your faithfulness and mercy. Thank you for who you are and for all you have done. Your sacrifice on the cross is proof of your great love and the extent you will go to demonstrate it.

Lord, I ask that you prove your love to my friend in her time of distress. Pour your love without measure into her heart and fill her with the warmth of it. Assist her in accepting this love and let it comfort and wipe her tears.
