Lord Jesus, thank you for the precious gifts you have given me in my lovely children. Being a parent is the most patient trying job there is on the planet. I have never had my patient tried like these children have done these past years.

I love them with all my heart; you know I do. But there are days when I don’t want to be their parents. There are days they press my button so hard that I am tempted to do things I will regret.

I am trying to remain patient with them, but my patience is wearing out. So, I come to you asking that you will help me else I may be tempted to commit murder. Teach me patience, Holy Spirit.

So, when I get anxious about my future and progress in life, please remind me of these.

When I feel that you are too slow in fulfilling your promises, please calm my doubts.

Teach me the importance of waiting for your timings; help me realize that you are never late. Please help me trust that you will make all things beautiful at the right time.

I acknowledge that I can’t go through life alone. I need your wisdom and counsel to guide me through life’s hurdles. So, I ask that you help me seek you at every turn in my life.

Beyond seeking you, please help me wait patiently for your instructions; and give me the grace to follow them.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord, please come and help me. Take over my heart and remove this anger and resentment towards him.

Fill my heart with so much love for him that by your help, I will look over his betrayal. Give me the patience and grace to deal kindly with him going forward.

Through them, you give hope to those who have no reason to stay hopeful. They are the channel through which you express your love to the needy and the elderly.

I recognize that their work is exhausting and draining emotionally. Therefore, I ask that you fill their love tanks and cause them to overflow.

I ask that you give them the patience to do their jobs effectively. Help them know that you see their works and that they will be rewarded in due time.
