Whenever we have to undergo surgery, we feel as though we are entrusting our lives to the hands of doctors. For many of us, this sounds very dangerous.

From experience, we know that human beings are fallible beings, which means that we can make mistakes.

So when we are scheduled for surgery, we are usually afraid. We fear the possibility of something going wrong during the procedure.But we really don’t have to be so fearful.

We may not have faith in our doctors because they are human, but we trust in the great Physician for a successful surgery through these prayers for surgery to go well.

Jeremiah 30:17 (NIV) – But I will restore your health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord.

Heavenly Father, I am booked for surgery today, and this thought makes me anxious. I pray that you will calm my heart and reassure me. Be with me and protect me even as I go in for my surgery.

Lord, I pray that this surgery will go well. I ask that through it, you will heal me and restore my health. Please help me rely on your ability to see me through this safely.

Conclusion

Surgery is another way through which God can heal us and deliver us from infirmities. Though it is not very pleasant, sometimes it is our only chance of survival.

So instead of shying away from it because of fear, it is better to ask God to take over the surgical procedure.
